Help Broken leg/ Injured

My duck named Gracie had his leg stepped on by accident, he didn't really scream or squil when it happened. He is crawl and he won't move much. There is no bleeding. How do I treat him? Will it heal on it's own? Can he die from a broken leg? I sadly can't afford to take him to the vet (it's at least $1000). Thank you in advance! I pray my baby recovers.

I am sorry to hear about your duck. Is the bone sticking out? @casportpony has a diagram of the leg bones of poultry maybe she can also help if you can get a pic and explain where this brake is.

Thank you for the help. The bone isn't sticking out and there is no bleeding

Can you tell where the brake is? Do you have Gracie inside so he isn't trying to move around much which may compound the injury?

Get him comfortable as you can. Some liquid b complex added to his water can help with healing. After @casportpony helps evaluate where break is then maybe start some warm water baths where he can gently move his leg but not put weight on it .

Thank you for the diagram. I am at school right now. Now that I think of it, the fracture may be in the foot. I'll get back with you
