Hi, this is my first time with a broody hen. I had 10 eggs in the incubator and then a hen went broody so I put them under her. I went to check the hatch, which I probably shouldn’t have done and it looks like she crushed one of the eggs. Should I remove the rest of them and just try to put hatched babies back under her or just let nature take its course? I don’t know if it was my fault for trying to check and she got agitated and accidentally crushed one or it was her. She’s a Wyandotte and I have some full sized and bantie eggs under her... any advice would be helpful. Don’t want to lose anymore babies!

I did an egg-topsy to make sure it wasn’t still alive and it was definitely ready to hatch, all the blood vessels were dried and yolk absorbed. Not sure if this was helpful. I hear chirping coming from under her still but now I’m afraid to check again. Don’t want more crushed babies that are my fault. I was trying to just lift up her wings and check versus her entire body. Not sure if it’s better to just lift her up completely to check? Or avoid all together
