Help! Broody hen not eating!

It's normal for a broody hen to not eat. She will eat when she's ready. They know what they are doing, lol! I freaked out about that on my first broody girl... Several more later I just leave them be and make good and water easily accessible to her.

I had a pullet around that age just go broody here also, I'm using her as an incubator for someone else's eggs. Why not especially since breaking them can be a challenge. She's got 6 Duck eggs and 3 chicken eggs(2 blue & 1 white-breeds I don't currently have) we'll see!! So exciting!!

Did you put the duck eggs in a week before the chicken eggs? Or are you going to finish incubating the ducks after the chicks hatch, or pull the chicks and brood them while she finishes the duck eggs?

The duck eggs did go under her first, since first time to experience hatching ducklings I will see how things will go but planning to pull the chicks if need be..
