Help. Broody Hen on non fertile eggs. What do I do now?

I have a hen on eggs that are not fertile. I keep taking them. Is that ok. The chickens where laying in our cat house and I didn't know this. When I found them, there was a dozen eggs in their. I took them all right away. Now one of my bantie's is trying to sit on eggs.

I am new to raising chickens. What do you do in this situation>

Try to buy some fertiles eggs from the neiboughrhood and let her sit on them.

You can either get her some fertile eggs (if you want chicks) or let her sit on nothing (which will make her nonproductive for 5 or more weeks) or break her broodyness.

I recently broke a broody hen by confining her to a large dog crate without any nesting materials for 4 days, just food and water. It worked like a charm for this hen - hope it works for yours.

Go to the feed store and buy her three baby chicks.

That should end the broodiness.

Doesn't everyone love baby chicks?
