Help! Broody is leaving eggs behind!

My first chick hatched on day 17. Another hatched today on day 19. I hear the other eggs tapping inside the eggs but my broody is not wanting to sit on them. What do I do? I don't have an incubator. I can use one tomorrow at school but I need to get through the night.

Be sure she's not just taking a break -- though sometimes they will stop setting. Do you have a heating pad? Set it on low if you do. You still might get a good hatch.

Thanks Judy! I have a feeling she's done with them. She doesn't seem like she's in her trance anymore. I have them on the heating pad now. I also discovered one chick that was dead in the egg with its little beak popping out. Apparently, the hen couldn't hold her BM any longer. It appears the chick suffocated in it. So sad
