Sunny is my rooster. Sunny has a very dark comb and very light colored wattles. He hasn't been acting normal and he doesn't protect his hens as much as he just sits under the deck or in the coop. His comb has frostbite which I've been treating ( i could use more suggestions on how to treat it). His poops out diarrhea. He has black mites, which we're treating him for by giving him a baths using dawn dish soap and dried him off. He also has a huge fluid filled bubble all around his toe from frostbite, which we are treating him for, but could use more suggestions on how to treat. He is currently sleeping in my house and doesn't want to do anything else but sleep. He eats and his crop is full. We're going to clean/disinfect his coop today to try to help. We just had a chicken die a few days ago of egg yolk peritonitis, could that have something to do with it? Does anyone know what this is and how to treat it?

Your rooster has a lot of issues. I'm not an expert in most of them, but I do know that for mites you'll need something with permethrin. A bath with dawn dish soap won't fix the problem. Hi-Yield garden dust applied liberally at the skin under all your rooster's feathers would be a good start. They sell it at any farm store. Wear a dust mask when you apply it. There's articles on here about treating for mites and how to ID different types, I'd recommend those to you - you can search the Articles for them. You'll also need to clean/sanitize the coop and roosts to get the mites out of those.

Also, for the comb frostbite, the best thing you can do is just leave it alone. The dead tissue will eventually dry up and fall off.

For the feet, the same principle, but there's a lot of folks on here who can help you figure out how badly he's affected and how to help him best. You could search for frostbite on feet, that should pull up some threads.

Good luck! Poor guy, he must feel awful, no wonder he's hiding under the coop.

Egg yolk peritonitis has nothing to do with anything going on with your rooster, it just happens sometimes to the hens.

ETA: Have you wormed him recently? Might get a fecal float test done to see what's up with that poop. Others on here might know more.

How long has his poop been like that? You say he is eating and his crop is full, but have you checked it in the morning to make sure it's emptying properly overnight? Also what has he been eating?

His poop started being like that just this week. I have checked his crop in the morning and it is emptying properly. Country Road layer crumbles with corn, sunflower seed, and clam shell pieces.
