I have a 4 yr old rooster that I’m pretty sure was fighting with a younger male as he had quite a few wounds on his comb and wattles. One wattle was hit and swollen. I separated him and treated with antibiotics (TMP SMZ liquid) I had gotten from my vet when he had bumble foot. He never seemed out of sorts and still doesn’t. He eats, drinks, crows and does all the rooster things but now it has shriveled up. What could be causing this? All the wounds are healed and I put him back with his girls 2 days ago. I rehomed my other rooster so now he is back to being the only one. @coach723 @rosemarythyme @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock

I don't think it's infected, I suspect it's inflammation. Hydrocortisone could help by applying it to the wattles.
