OK yesterday I was processing birds (Cornish rocks, geese) after feathering my first Cornish I notice I felt things crawling on me (didn't scald first after I started dipping the birds before since the water finally got hot). They where yellow chicken lice sudders both my five year old and I had them on us we showered after we finished the chickens. My husband did the geese. Only the meat bird have I notice had feather issues my other birds feathers look great I haven't examed this morning I still shuddering. The meat birds didn't dust bathe as much as my hens do or my roosters do. I w ant to treat but I don't want to use a strong poison as we have small children 5,2,1month who I am breastfeeding and I will be the one treating the birds and I prefer not to use poison for the reason I really shouldnt get any on me as I breastfeeding. Thoughts they have lots of access to dust bath they have 20x50 yard plus acess to my goat yard that's an additional 100x30. My other issue is we have geese, ducks, goats now these things aren't on them as well right I haven't looked yet.
