Hi everyone. I am on day 18 and my eggs are a little behind with air sac and I want to make sure my temp and humidity are on point. I had no idea you can “calibrate” them for accurate reads.
I have these two digits thermometers (photos attached) and I want to know what is the proper way to calibrate to make sure the temp is an accurate read as well as the humidity is accurate. I did read about the ice/water as well as the salt for the humidity. However I want to make sure I do it correctly. They are both a little off. How long should it sit in the water before it’s an “accurate” read, etc. For instance, I placed both in a sealed zip lock bag and in the jar with ice and water. The one without the humidity reader was at 34 degrees but it took a while to get there. Now I know that it’s reading 2 degrees above HOWEVER, how long should i let it stay in the water etc...and the salt test I can’t find solid instructions. Any help is much appreciated!!! thx!
