Hi everyone! I have 3 Muscovy hens, two had hatch out their babies today and one hatch out her babies on mothers day with 15 ducklings :D and the other 2 hatch out about 10 ducklings each today. Right now, I have a brooding spot in the pen that is 6 square feet with 15 ducklings in it with their mother and I was wondering If i could put the other two mothers in there with them? Would they fight? Would they gang up and take care of their babies together? Any help would be grant :)

I would be very reluctant to put the two new broods in with the hen with the established brood of 15. 6 square feet is way too small for that many ducks/ducklings, and the first mother now regards that place as her domain. She would most likely fight the two new mothers and attack the new ducklings.

So far I put 2 together and all doing well. At first the other mother with the week older ducklings looked like she was going to nip the other mother but then they both had all the ducklings together and acting like they are cool with each other. I'll keep an eye out on them. Tomorrow I'm going to try to make the brooder bigger and put the third mother in to see what happens. But again I'll like more advice on people experience to make sure im not doing anything wrong.

The 2 mother started to fight so I took all of the newly hatched ducklings in the house into another brooder to be cared for by me. I feel guilty for taking away the ducklings from their mothers but i think it's makes it easier to sell them anyways.
