Hi! I’ve got chicken eggs in my incubator at the moment. I am on day 17, but it is going to change to day 18 in a few hours which means I have to candle them again, put them on the hatching tray and increase the humidity. I have hatched ducklings before, but this is my first time with chicks. When I candle chicken eggs on day 18, what do I look for to see if the chick is still alive? Thanks :)

Veins and movement. They're very similar to ducks, they just have shorter incubation periods. Chickenlittle21 posted a good article to look through.
