I don't `do' mobile, but here are a couple of apps that might be useful:
Clearing all cached material (photos):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.cache&hl=en
Photo resizing:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avg.shrinker&hl=en
(their are many similiar so pick the one that works for you).
Problem isn't the platform, it is the programming (often). By resizing (primarily shrinking file size, not so much pic dimensions) one often avoids a site's `resizing' function altogether. As someone who was on dial-up for years, I've always done my best to reduce the KB of images to 50KB, or less (~1sec. for dial-up users to receive and view).
Did anything change around the time this started screwing up (network plan/updated app, etc)? I'd think we'd have more unhappy android users posting about this if it was on this if BYC Host had glitched on an update to their platform. Don't know about hard resetting of your phone to factory default, but that might be an option if nothing else works. However, a quick google does reveal other intermittent `Out Of Mem' and images problems on other sites, might want to read through other fixes.
