Help!!! chick has something protruding

I removed the others and moved them to the brooder. They were picking at his butt and I think they were hurting him. He seems lonely now. I thimmed the thinnest part as it was attached to his leg. I feel bad leaving it alone in the incubator.
Is that his intestines, does he have a chance? I think the two egg remaining are duds. He's lively and seems to be a fighter.
Advice please.

That is a herniated umbilical cord and unabsorbed yolk that was trimmed.

You can leave the chick in a humid but not wet brooder setup where their movement is limited and hope they absorb it back . Keep the area extra sanitary and cotton swab clean as needed and keep it damp as it is absorbed.

If it is not too serious it will either absorb or it will turn black and drop off.
I would keep them screened off from the other chicks so they do not pick at it.
Good luck, hopefully not a cull and they make it.
