Hello everyone! I just had this silkie chick hatch and it seems the embryonic fluid is still attached. Will it be ok or is there something I need to do?

I’ve seen a lot of people in here recommend setting the chick in a small cup and leaving it in the incubator until it finishes absorbing the yolk. I hope someone else will chime in. In the meantime, try searching on here. There are lots of posts about this happening.

Good luck!! Fingers crossed for your chick

Are you sure it's the yolk?
Not really, I was reading other threads on here with similar situations and that's what I think it looks like. I read other replies on those threads saying to put the chick in a cup in the incubator with paper towels in the bottom. Is that right?

New update, whatever is hanging out busted. ☹

It seems to be drying ok from what I can tell. I'm glad it's not a pool of blood but I can tell it is weaker from its chirp.
