help.. chick having problems with neck

i checked on the 2 chicks this morning and one was on her back... barely alive...i stuck her on a heating pad under a blanket... she kinda coughed or sneezed and fluid came outta her mouth... shes breathing fine...but she cant lift her head off the floor..

is her neck damaged

Do a google search for Marek's disease and/or Coccidosis, it could be one of those ...sure hope not

So sorry! You may want to disinfect your coop before putting your new babies in there in case whatever your other one died from was contagious. Good luck

If you just hatched them, it is possible that the humidity was a bit high, and the one chick had a shell just a bit thicker so there was excess liquid it asparated. It happens so don't beat yourself up about it. Good luck!
