It happen outta no where My 5 week old started to get that distress sound so i went to check on him and hes been just crying and walking around with his mouth open (breaking my heart) i tried to check him out to see if i could figure out what the hell is going on... now as soon as i touch him he starts to bit the shit outta me (which hes usually a lovey lil guy so) I AM LOST SO IF SOMEONE KNOWS SOMETHING I WILL LOVE YOUR SOUL I CANT TAKE WATCHING HIM LIKE THIS WITH NO CLUE WHAT IS HAPPENING OR WHAT TO BO ABOUT IT !!:(

Is he the only chick? This happened to mine after a really bad hatch where he was the only one to survive. If he's not the only chick, then check if he's been hurt by the others, if they have food, or maybe a noise just scared him. Even if he's biting alot, you might want to pick him up and try to cuddle him. It calms them down sometimes. If he's outdoors it might have been a predator in the area. My hens start screaming non-stop all day because of foxes in the area

He doesnt want to be held its breaking my freakin heart hes been crying for 3hrs now and i dont know whats wrong his buddy is following him around trying to make sure hes ok too ... :( everyone else is fine so i dont have a clue i have been trying to look up possible answers but nothing seems to fit what hes going through

Try giving treats, or talking in a really calm voice. Look around if your outside. Last time my hens kept squeaking because there was a pregnant racoon in our rasberry bushes

thats where i found this to be a real problem, worms the greatest thing that has ever been make to exist i tried to give him one it was like he wanted to eat it but as soon as it touched his mouth he was over it
i was thinking maybe he has a sore in his mouth...idk though this is something i have no idea what i am dealin with so

Wrap him in a towel to hold his wings, give him a good going over including inside his beak and throat. Check him every where, separate feathers, under wings, feet, legs, crop, etc. if you can post a video to youtube and put the link here it might be helpful to see what he's doing.
