I have a week old splash laced Wyandotte and she has a very distended belly that is rock hard. She is active and eager to eat and otherwise normal. My theory is constipation. She doesn’t have pasty butt and doesn't seem to be mushy chick.
Poo details:
She has normal size little healthy looking poops and then very soft very brown stinky poops then normal poops. Once I started treating her for constipation with warm soaks and olive oil drops she would pass LARGE poops that look like a conglomerate of many many little poops. I’m talking like Lima bean size. She seems comfortable but that belly is so big! I’ve separated her and limit her food to have extra moisture added. Because she would eat way more and I’m afraid she will pop! Anyone see anything like this before?
