Help chicken is not moving!

I am very sorry. The only thing that I can think of is that she may have had worms. One way is to look at her and your other chickens poop because, if the worms are bad enough she could have passed from that. If you do find worms, clean it up right away because others can get it.
I don’t know how old she is but it could be age, others pecking at her, or if your hens are free range they could have eaten something.

Thank you for all of the help I did look into the possibility of it being worms that killed I haven’t noticed any runny poop or lethargic chickens but I’ll be sure to watch them all closely. Unfortunately I buried her right after she passed so I couldn’t take her to get an autopsy. I don’t think the other chickens even bothered her because she had all of her feathers and wasn’t bleeding at all she just died on me for some reason. What I’m hoping the killer is heat stroke so I don’t have to deal with treating worms or any other diseases.

Heat stroke if its over 95-100. Fans are good if hot. Not sure on temp. Give the rest some electrolytes just in case.

#1 rule to remember... chickens can die just by looking at them. I am so sorry you had to go through this :(

My hen looked like that before she died. It was a septic infection. Did your girl have any other symptoms at all?

As far as fans, my understanding is if it’s over 95°, fans don’t help. I could be wrong. You might try a fan AND a mister if it’s hot where you are.

Well she seemed perfectly fine that morning nothing out of the usual but literally she laid down and started to die out of the blue. It wasn’t too hot yesterday so I’m thinking it isn’t heat stroke because it was in the mid 80s with clouds and she was in the shade so it couldn’t have been heat stroke. Maybe she got but by a snake? I live in a very forested area near a river so it could be.

Sorry about your loss. I didn't see anything in any of the posts that indicated how old she was.
