Help! Chicken Scared off, how do i get her back?

Hello. I am a newbie at keeping chickens. Yesterday a neighbor's dog came to my yard and killed one chicken and ran one off. There is no feathers or any signs on where she went. I have waited 3 days to post just in case she found here way back. She is without the normal food and i bet she is out there somewhere. It has been raining and the flashlight at night reflects of everything. I have a squirrel trap that I set and it hasn't even been touched. She is a bantam and she was the very first chicken to ever give me eggs. She is small and dark feathered. I've looked around and even tried getting my dog to track her sent. (My dog is very nice to them, she even guards them and they like her) Please help, I dont know what I should do next.

You stated "yesterday" your bantam ran off but it's been 3days before you posted?

Depending how "scared" she was, I would think she didn't get far & would return to her coop. If you're searching at night, she maybe in a tree, If she's laying she may have a nest somewhere. Keep searching, you should also check with your neighbors and inform that neighbor their dog killed your chicken.

thank you for replying. i had typed in Saturday but i guess it auto corrected to yesterday for some reason. i also do not think she went far, but again she hasn't returned in 3 days. she is laying so maybe she has built a nest. the neighbor knows, we called animal control and the dog was from the other street. she showed up as the animal control officer put the dog in the back of the truck. where i live there is a lot of underbrush and low branches. im just worried she'll stay and starve herself. thanks again
