Help! Chicken sick for 2 months

My beautiful girl Ying was put to sleep today at the vets. On examination the vet told us she had pneumonia and every system in her body was deteriorating. There was no treatment or surgery that could have helped her. On autopsy he had found an abrasion had happened just under her gizzard had resulted in scarring which made a blockage. Her gizzard was twice the size it should have been. Although she was pooping she was unable to absorb any nutrients and had gotten skinny from that. Pneumonia was the last effect.

She was I injected with a drug that made her unconscious before she was euthanised so she died without suffering. I held her as she went.

Thank you everyone for your help I have learnt a great deal to help my other chooks in the future :)
:hugs
I am sorry for your loss.
Thank you for sharing the info you learned at the vet today.
