Hello!

We got our first real snow today (northern Utah) and we went to go check on our chickens. All of them were fine in the coop, save one--one of the gold sex link hens. She was wobbling around with her eyes closed. She's in the house now. She's alive and breathing, but not responding.

Please, help us!

Is she dry? Dry her off if she is wet. I would put her next to a warm source if possible, fireplace, wood stove, etc. Hope she warms up quickly!!!

How old is she? Maybe put her under a heat lamp and try to get her to drink some water maybe warm it too. Hopefully someone with more experience will respond soon

I have used a hairdryer on low to help heat a chick up in a hurry. Would also work for a grown chicken.

Keep a hand near the hot air coming from the dryer to be sure you do not burn the bird's skin, but I put the dryer fairly close and move it/direct hot air over the body.
