Please help! Our 1 year old hen has been acting pretty lethargic. We first noticed it 2 days ago. She was walking slow and looked hunched over so we thought egg bound but that doesn't seem to be the case. She has stopped eating, we've tried all of her favorites including oatmeal and scrambled eggs. She has been drinking water with electrolytes though. I've included a picture of her droppings for extra information. Anything we can do to help our poor girl?

have you prodded her crop at all to see if it’s squishy or impacted? Is she still laying?

There looks to be an egg membrane in the picture. She may be experiencing a reproductive disorder. Could you try giving some human calcium citrate with vitamin d3 300-600mg daily for a few days?

What is the best way to administer that?

Either give it whole as someone else said or crush it up and sprinkle it over their favorite food, preferably some kind of wet food and mix it in so it’ll stick better. By mouth is always preferred but mixing into food won’t hurt either

She still isn't eating much. Here's an updated picture of her droppings. Any other ideas?
