Help! Chickens and pregnancy?

Is there any reason for a pregnant woman to worry about being around chickens? I understand the concern about young people and the infirmed handling chickens. Should there be any worry for a pregnant woman?

As far as just being around them, there really isn't much risk. Of course, there's always the chance of salmonella if a pregnant woman (or anyone, for that matter) were to handle the birds and not use good hand washing practices. And, you wouldn't want her out cleaning the coop, as there's a huge risk of contracting hystoplasmosis through the feces, dust and dander.
As long as none of that's happening, all should be well.
