Help chickens chest completely bare

I went outside today and found that my cochin had almost no feathers left on her chest. She has been sleeping in a nesting box so i figured she was broody could this have something to do with it?

Yes. They pull out those feathers when they go broody. It is to keep the eggs warmer.

When this happened to me(also a cochin!) I ran in all panicked and posted right away! Someone came to my rescue and told me she was prob broody. They were 100% right!

I got 2 broody silkies and both are bare chested.... it grows back pretty quick when they're over it.
