My chickens are living in an old abandoned camper that converted to a chicken coop and here recently they decided to start pulling apart the linoleum underneath the straw that I have scattered and eat it!
I have removed the pieces they have torn out but they somehow keep find in a new piece to peel up and peck at!

How much danger are they in for eating linoleum are they missing something in there diet?

Don't be too alarmed unless your chickens show signs of illness. I've seen chickens eat all kinds of weird things including broken glass without any negative effects. Remove any linoleum that you can-just in case.

Okay thank you I figured it was kind of nothing I just don't know how linoleum could be tasty maybe I should try it haha just kidding

Taste is quite different for each specie; what tastes bad for us may taste great for another animal. The other day I watched our dog chewing a rotten mouse and obviously enjoying it; I don't intend on giving it a try-HA. I'm sure if you think about it you can think of other examples. So glass and linoleum are YUM for chickens.

Haha! But on the other end of the scale I watched my dog steal my pizza off my plate.... to bad they don't find all our food gross :p I really wanted that pizza to! Haha
