Most of my chickens and my rooster are losing their tail feathers. At first just a few were losing them and I thought they were establishing the pecking order but now all of them are missing tail feathers with raw spots on the area right above the tail feathers. With warm weather coming on I'm concerned with an open sore they will have flies eating on them and then we all know what happens after that. Is there something I can put on these areas and can someone tell me why this is happening?
