Hi I am not into chickens but my grandchildren have a few. It is all family living on family property so my son has allowed this small group to free range. The problem all the sudden is the chickens are attacking another sons car. It is black and shiny and they are pecking the heck out of the front where we think they see their reflection. Has anyone had this problem? I need to find an answer before my grown boys get into it again over rogue chickens. LOL Thanks in advance

Out here the Robins do that every spring, the males think they are driving off a rival . If it isn't that, cat's lay on the hood of the car and leave nice scratches. I guess it's better than the hens " bombing "the cars. Tell your son you are afraid his birds will get run over - maybe that will work. I don't think a fence would - they will just fly over it.

Welcome to the site!

What I would do would be lightly spray them with water when they do it, or bang on a pan. Basically something that they don't like and after awhile they will associate pecking the car as something bad will happen.

Good luck!

edit to add: some chickens like the rain lol but mine dont
