Sorry to bother everyone but i really need help!! I received the chicks yesterday morn and they all have ate and drank. All of the sudden im losing them at a rapid pace. They are fine and then all of a sudden i will come check them and one will be laying flat gasping for air almost like it cant breath!!please any suggestions on how to fix this will be highly appreciated.

What does your brooder look like (pics are worth a 1000 words)
Do they have heat?
Do they have a cool area to escape the heat?

Do they have poopy butts?

Cocci is very common in chicks...have you ever read about it?

Do you have a thermometer? That heat lamp may be making it too hot.

Can you hold one close to you..listen to its breathing.
Does is sound off/funny?

My first guess would be too hot.
2nd would be cocci, but if poo is normal and no poopy butts I would think more of the 1st thing depending on how they "sound"

Too hot IMO
Move the heat closer to on edge of the brooder.
And you may want to raise it higher.
What is your weather like?

Look at you picture...Do you see how they are all spread out..none are huddled up under the light?
This makes me think it is too hot in there.
