HELP CHICKS DYING JUST AFTER PIP

My chicks are dying just after or just before pipping? Any guess at the cause? Thanks

what's the humidity like?
If it isn't high enough the membrane can get brittle and too hard for the tired little guy to get all the way out/through...

It was 70 now this morning i added a wet towel and it's now 80

I had the same think happen but it was because I didn't monitor my humidity throughout the hatch and the chicken stuck to the shell and the membrane became hard so I had to go into assist hatching mode!

Meaning the hen laying the eggs needs different food?

I am not an expert but 80% humidity sounds really high to me. Mine hatch great with 60%. Could it be they are drowning?

I think you have too much humidity and they are becoming glued to the shell because it is too wet.

I almost had the same problem. Mine didn't have enough humidity so the membrane was very thick and they couldn't get thru. I had to "birth" (lol) 6 of my babies! I was very nervous about this but I did a bit of research. I chipped the shell around like they would normally, helped them get thru the membrane and hatch. They are doing fantastic! Very healthy!
