We had 8 eggs in the incubator, 4 hatched on day 21. It is now day 23, just checked the remaining 4, two are dead, but the other 2 are making chirping noises.
The question is, should we leave them and hope that they still can hatch by themselves or should we try and help them out? And if not how long should we leave them before we should intervene.
The chicks are lavender araucanas.

Also with the other chicks 2 came out fine by themselves, the other 2 got stuck halfway (humidity may have been an issue) and needed help to get out.

Be careful and remove the shell tiny bits at a time. Don't puncture the inner membrane. The chick needs to absorb all the fluid. Unzip the shell and let the chick kick it off by its self.

In case anyone is wondering on the outcome...

We opened them both, one looked pretty ready to come out and didn't take too long, the other had lots of veins still so we took that really slowly and left it wrapped in wet paper towel in the incubator overnight. It finally wiggled out of the membrane itself and now they are both sitting in the brooder cheeping :)
So thanks for your advice Connie.
