I just got these 4 Ameracauna pullets from the feed store yesterday. They are 2 or 3 days old.

Appeared very healthy and normal yesterday and this morning, went to check on them a half hour ago and noticed 2 of the chicks had red eye lids. Watched for 5 minutes, and caught them in the act! Two unaffected pullets pecking at the other 2 affected ones.

I separated them into 2 groups for now.

Any suggestions for how to stop this, or reason why this may have happened?

Chick #3 normal for comparison.

It now looks like I have 1 bully chick. Two of the chicks have red eye lids, and the other 2 were picking on them. I separated, but the bully chick is still picking on the other one that isn't red yet. I have the bully by herself now.

Errg, not sure how to handle this.

I don't know anything about this... was just doing research since I have some bullies in my new mix and I read that you should put a red light on them. It discourages them from pecking.
