Hi all!
I have a flock of 5 ducks and 25 chickens. My water dishes are dog bowls that I can plug in during the winter to prevent freezing. The problem with those bowls is my ducks make a huge mess out of them. Not only does the water get dirty quickly but it's also making a mess of my chicken coop. The bedding gets wet and smelly and not to mention the flies!
I'm hoping that some of you have mixed flocks and have some water ideas to help me out. I do need to think of options that won't freeze. I'm in northern Wisconsin so freeze temps happen often here.
