Help! Complete and utter newbie!

Yup, looks identical to the Light Brahma chicks that I got from a hatchery. Beautiful, big birds, good layers, very friendly. I love mine!
Check out this video, it shows Light Brahma chicks. Looks just like yours!

I am getting worried. This is my favorite of my chicks but its comb is developing much faster. It appears to have 3 rows to it's comb....does that mean this Is a roo? Cant have a rooster so hoping to determine as early as possible before my kiddos ( and ill admit it...me) get too attached!

Well as I said I am completely new to chickens. I have been reading thread after thread for hours every night trying to learn something. Evidently I haven't yet.
LOL. This is the same bird as the previous pictures, just a week later. The comb has just grown so quickly, I thought I had read in one thread that a young pullet will only have one row to its comb and an early three row comb usually meant roo, but all I seem to have figured out is sexing Them
is impossible for a newbie!

Looks like a Light Brahma to me. It is too young to accurately tell gender, but if its comb continues to get larger and/or redder, it is probably a cockerel.

I'd prepare yourself for that Brahma to be a boy. I hope I'm wrong, but start thinking about his future now, just in case.

I think you're right on the EE, and the Leghorn or Rock you usually have to wait a little and see how the body shape and comb develop. You'll have a good idea around 2-3 months which breed it is.

Your buff chick doesn't look to be an Orpington, it seems to have yellow legs. Orps have white/pink legs. It could be a buff Rock but they're not too common. Any chance of finding out where the eggs came from?
