I need some serious ideas here.

I have a coop and run I built myself. It's pretty sturdy 9x5 house with L shaped 6x10ish run. The current location does NOT have a coop foundation and I'm regretting not doing one. That being said, I need to figure out how to do a foundation in the new location that will also keep in mind of the attached coop. If I raise the current coop, it'll raise the run off the ground. So I'm really having a hard time figuring out what to do.

I'm frustrated and ready to trash all my hard work and just by a small one offline until I can afford a really amazing one next year. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That sounds frustrating! Can you add some pictures of your current set up?

And can you do you tell a bit more about why the coop has to move?

There are some great people I n this site and I'm sure lots of folks will have ideas for you – I haven't really seen premade coops that can equal one that you build yourself!

I put pallets in mine and then sheets of wood from home depot on those and it works great...and then I piled all the hay on top of the wood, my girls love to scratch and get all the seeds that fall through or just scratch around in it. It works great, I have had it up for two years, never a issue...

I'll try to post pics here in a few minutes. I know I won't be able to find anything near what I've got now, but I'm really just over it.

I had thought about filling the inside with cement.

I didn't want to just put risers/pallets with wood on top just inside, because I wanted an easier way to clean it and I feel like that just leaves opportunity for mess.

I have to move it because it's too close to the house and where it's at currently is next to the water faucet and water isn't draining well now that its there. Happens when it rains as well. So even though the inside of the coop keeps puddles out because I did stones and sand under my pine, it still all gets pretty wet underneath.

I also have a playhouse I was thinking of converting to a coop. But then I thought I could just buy a big pen and slap it over that puppy and call it a day!

Can you tell I'm over it? I'm not a carpenter, I'm just handy. I built this thing without plans, using scrap wood. I worked so long and hard and I'm just not wanting to do anything else with it.
