Help; coop plans for 30 chickens

Greetings everyone,
Thru my non for profit veteran volunteer organization. We worked on a local HS garden. The second phase of the project includes a chicken coop. We are all volunteer organization with some construction experience. I am looking for plans and list of materials for chicken coop that will house 30 chickens. Below is a link of our organization for verification. Please help as we plan to build this for our 9/11 Project.

You should put your location in your profile it can make a difference on the answers you get.

Read the Modern Fresh Air Poultry House book for some great information on building a proper coop.

The coop is only part of the picture, if not free ranging then a chicken run also needs to be build. And location can make the size and design different.

Aside from the footprint of the house itself, what space do you have available for a yard or run?

In the book referenced by JT, the feature design is the Woods House, which is one of the very best chicken house designs ever created. The full size is 10' x 16' and was adequate for up to 40 birds. Ideal for your 30.

It does take some construction experience, but no more so than framing any type of house or shed, and if your experienced labor is free, would be economical to build.
