HELP..Correct Humidity ???

We have a Brinsea Octagon Advance incubator with chicken eggs
they recommend humidity between 40% and 50% for 1st 18 days and then 65% for lockdown
Is this correct????
Our humidity is staying around 42% should I let it stay there or get it higher???

I just finished my first hatch!! 16 out of 24. not bad for first time. humidity was 40-50% days 1-18 and 60-65% during lockdown. Worked good for me!!
