Hi well candled my first eggs ever today. Day 10.

Ok so first egg to my shock heres this little black dot moving around in there. Thought great chick! Kept candling the rest an had two more black moving dots in eggs.

But I saw absolutely no veining inside them any of them!? The eggs where quite hard to see into more dark than light.

Theres a mix of eggs but all brown. One egg in particular was light an looked empty completey different to the rest.

Are these dark moving spots chicks or am I seeing things lol
Worried that I see no viens tho :(

Any help or insight greatly appreciated

the black spots are the eyes. the veins sometimes are hard to see at first, I didn't see any veins in mine till the last week. hope this helps:)

Eyes. As in an eye :D jeez sounds so odd lol
I was sure id of not got any development as its my first time an incubators can be temperamental lol
Thanks so much for the quick reply.

My bantam eggs are easily candled at 4 days, when the red veins and central spot look like a big red spider. The egg fills with more soliddark development rather soon after that and the red veins are no longer seen. After that I candle to watch the air space. And you can see the embryo pulse or move with the light shining through~ Air space will slowly get larger as the chick develops and gives the chick enough air to live until it pips its first break through the shell--but is not necessary to candle as often as I do. Your clear egg was infertile or stopped very early--you can just remove it. Good luck!
