My duck egg is at day 22 of incubation.
Last night i saw movement like normal, this morning there is none. I can still see a dark area in the egg, but no movement. Did my ducky die? :(

I'm certainly not an expert, but I recall reading on here somewhere that it can take a couple of days (up to 4 days I think) for them to hatch. They will move, then rest, then move, then rest and so on until they are ready to hatch. If this is true, which I have no doubt it is, I wouldn't worry too much yet. Waiting for babies, from my experinece with chickens and horses, cows, and goats, is like watching a pot boil. As long as you're paying attention nothing is going to happen. As soon as you turn around, here they come.

Well ive still got 6 days untill im at 28 days. The actual egg is not moving, im talking about when i candle it. I just dont know what im looking for or what im supossed to see inside the egg getting so close to hatching day. How will i know if it died?!

You are 6 days away from hatch the egg should be much darker filling the bottom (pointed end) of the egg than it is. Movement is deceiving as slight tremors from the hand will make the inside of the egg appear to move. This would lead me to say that egg is not alive.

Save this link to refer back to. It shows a great series of images during the incubation process.

Its only day 22 and it does take them a while. Its just a tiny baby and needs to gain more strength and then it will try again. Don't worry!
