Float tested all- definate movement in 4, 19 dead. I opened the 19, a few were early quitters, day 10 or so, but the majority of them were very mature, still yolk in sack. 3 pipped. A few were shunk wrapped. Boo Hoo, these were very expensive BCM.

What do I do with the ones that I saw definate movement in float test? Are they savable? Set in Little giant, still air at 101F, had one high temp of 106 on day 18....

These eggs were set on January 29 at 11am.

They could be late bloomers, or if you already saw other ones shrink wrapped, theres a possibility they are too. How long has it been pipped?

Perhaps I am using the wrong terminology, 3 of the dead ones had broken through the air sac. I did the float test 1 hour ago. I have 5 positive float test. I know I said 4 earlier, but I couldn't see one of them through the incubator.

I started out with 28 eggs, culled a few early on that were infertile, 5 left that past the float test. Sorry for not being more clear. Thank you all for the help.

So have any actually broken through the shell? if not, maybe they are too big for their shells or the shells are too thick? If the one thats peeping hasnt broken through the shell, poke a tiny hole on the air cell side of the shell. Maybe they are suffocating?. When you take them out, wrap them in a wet warm washcloth so they dont shrink wrap.

Pipped: When they first poke a hole through the shell.
