HELP!!! Deformed Chick

I was just looking at one of my chicks that was born earlier this week and its right leg isnt straight. Its pointing to the right. Ive heard of something called straddle leg. What is it, does the chick have it, and whatever is wrong with the leg, can I fix it??? I dont want to have to cull it

. Any suggestions? Oh and the chicks are on straw layerd on shavings.

Search spraddle leg and see if it looks like what your chick has....I had 3 with bad legs hatch a few weeks back and only one survived.

Yep he looks like that. Im going to go see if I can find a 3/4 inc band aid. BRB

I hope it works for you!!!! I had a turkey that had this happen a couple weeks ago. He was growing much too quickly and the splint didn't work. Hopefully your tiny chick will do much better since they don't grow nearly as fast as the turkey did.
