Hi I have 2 -14 week old Wyandottes. They are part of a mixed breed flock w a total of 8. These two just seem so much bigger especially Betty. She is gorgeous but her legs just seem so thick and long. Would appreciate anyone’s advice. The first two pics are Betty the second two are Isla.

Thank you that’s what I was hoping for. They are supposed to be blue laced red but we are thinking they look more golden

Would appreciate anyone’s advice.
Hi there, welcome to BYC! :frow

Both are gorgeous pullets! :celebrate

Rapid growth is one of the things that make Wyandottes great dual purpose birds. Boys often showing their gender (via wattle development) by 4 ish weeks! On most breeds saddle feathers will start coming in around 12 weeks..

ETA: Red is darker gold and gold is lighter red. Breeding them MIGHT be a challenge and KNOW blue has it's own challenges as well.

Thanks for the great information. We are newbies and loving every minute of it. Just hoping they all turn out to be pullets.
