help dieing 5 month old chick help!!!!!!!we found her on her side in henhouse,drawing her head back,she is weak,we gave her sugar water and yogurt, she is not eatting or drinking with out help,

we think she is gasping

If it is hot where you are, she may be overheated.

I would take her inside where it is cool and offer her water and see if she will settle down so you can evaluate what is wrong.

Then give us more details about her poop, her crop, if she stops gasping once she's cool, and anything else you can think of.

her poop is watery.hardly moving.not gasping anymore.we got her in the house too.its hot also.

she has a small cut at the back of her comb......i think she is dead now........

I'm no expert, but from what i've been reading here on BYC, a lot of chickens have had issues with the heat during this big heat wave we're having. And a lot of alarming issues are resolved once the bird gets cooled down and relaxed.

I would keep helping her drink water. If you can get some electrolytes in it, like gatorade, or one of the other things recommended for chickens. Keep helping her drink until and get her cooled down until she's willing to start eating on her own.

If her poop is watery, it's likely because she's hot, and she's been drinking.

You can also offer her some cool watermelon or tomato to help her get some nutrients and cool down.
