Help do you know what this is???

Ok like I said I did everything wrong and they still are hatching, but here's the thing I have one little guy who seems to be fine getting around good and peeping and such but he is dragging something I can only describe as a bloody umbelical cord? Other than that he seems fine and he hatched about 7 hrs ago I guess. It looks like it's drying up, but does anyone know what this is?? What should I do??

Sounds like the chick did not absorb all the yolk. I would leave it alone, if it's not to big it should go ahead and absorb it and dry up.

Thanks it was and it just dried up and fell off.

ya my chick is like that now dragging around a wet umbilical cord, it seems to have stuck to his body (i haven't and won't touch it) will it dry up and fall off?
