My “compounding pharmacy” for this:

Smash the tablet with the back of the spoon, then use the spoon to mash it into the cat food or scrambled egg or raw ground beef or whatever.

Those little Sheba cat food packets are pricey as hayul for regular cat feeding, but perfect for this use. The longest it’s ever taken for one of the girls to eat it was under 2 minutes.

Thank you! I am going to try the flakes and "try" the pill popping, that does not sound like fun. I've done it with my dogs and cats before...not pretty

Chickens have a much broader “pipe” - it’s a bit less scary.

That “tug down on the wattles” bit does set it all up well.

Long ago I worked for a small animal vet (no chickens, alas.)

I did a lot of pill poking, which is necessary if they feel bad and aren’t eating. But if they have healthy appetites, then heck yeah, smuggle the meds or supplements in the easy way!
