help duck bleeding out of her ears!

    She is a pekin i think and she is bleeding out of her ear her skin is green around it i dont know what to do i can show you guys a picture if you want to see what it looks like

    A pic should be helpful. Try posting in the emergency section too. You might get help quicker. I'm not going to be of any help because I am new. Did something happen to her?

    I'm no expert either, but I'd put Bacitracin on it immediately, and keep seeking a diagnosis. I'd probably also administer oral antibiotics.

    As I mentioned on the emergencies forum, I would start her on antibiotics right away.

    Get her to a vet a.s.a.p. if at all possible.

    Rinse the ear with Vetericyn four times a day. If you don't have that, use a mild saline solution.

    Make sure she can wash her head frequently. I would put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar per gallon of water, and let her dunk her head in that.

    It is possible it could be a fungal infection, a vet might be able to test to be sure it is bacterial - but my guess is bacterial.
