Help! Duck Egg Problem!

Hey BYCers!!! I have a duck egg in the incubator that has been candled and is still alive and active, but he externally pipped on day 26 of incubation, and now it is day 28 and he has only made progress by another small crack. 2 days and that is all the progress! Is that normal. As I said, today is day 28. Should I expect him to start unzipping soon? Thank you!

Hope your little ones made it out okay! Sorry if you didn’t get a reply in time to help out. My first batch did the same, pipped and then sat in complete stillness for several days it felt, but they hatched in due time. I’m about to lock down my second batch, so I’m still very new myself!
