hey all, we had a welshie sitting on a nest of both welsh and Muscovy eggs. She hatched out 4 of her own kind and when I went out this morning, her and the babies were outside leaving the other eggs cold in the nest. I was really hoping she'd stick around another few days to hatch the muscovies. I gathered them up and put them in a makeshift incubator (a box and a heat lamp) and they look like this. Does this look like no longer viable eggs? Maybe she got up because they were all duds? Please help!!

It's just nature.... The eggs that she left were either duds, or too weak to survive.

Best of luck with the new ducklings!
