Hey everyone!
Please help! My duck eggs are on Day 21 of incubation, they aren't due to go into lockdown until Tuesday however I noticed this morning one wiggling around quite a lot! I have been researching into if I need to lockdown early and looks like I should as they shouldn't turn if they are getting into position to internally pip.
The eggs are Khaki Campbell, so could hatch between Day 23-28.
Do I lockdown today??

I'd candle them to see what's happening as you'll be able to see if the air cell has drawn down on one side and you'll see a bit of shadowing in the air cell if they are getting close to internally pipping. Keep the eggs in the same position as they are sitting in inside the incubator when you do.

It won't hurt to lock down a bit early if necessary.

Ok, I will see as only one is moving at thr moment and then the Turner is still active.

I haven't candled yet but 4/6 are wiggling around. Do I turn off the automatic Turner Turner put into lockdown after a candle? I worry its too early (day 22, not day 21)

I'd say if their wiggling already, they should probably go into lock down. Don't want it to hatch early and be hurt by any automatic egg turner during the night.

i know im a little late to this thread but my ducks are trying to internally pip on day 21? Can this happen or is there something wrong? because I am afraid they haven't fully developed yet.
