she can still make friends with other ducks. just give her time and no other choice. she will make friends with whoever or whatever she sees every day.

Alright, thank you all for the help! On your assurance, I will make the attempt at getting her a buddy duck. I'm not sure how old she is other than I know she is at least 5 weeks. She was found in a post office mailing room on August 25th and that was the day I got her. Anyone know about how old ducklings are when hatcheries typically ship them? I know chicks are normally sent out at 1 day-old or younger, but this guy was nearly 1lb when I got her so I don't think she was one-day old.
