HELP! Duck is starting to hatch and there is blood!

These ducks should start hatching wed but one poked thru today. A piece of the shell popped off and the 'membrane' (I think) broke thru but there is blood. Have not seen this before. Whats going on with this ducky?

I pretty sure that is normal. Ive never hatched ducks but when my chicks hatch, there is always a little blood. I wish you luck though.

He (or she) just punched through part of the shell that still had a vein attached. It should stop fairly quickly.
